Suffed Peppers

INGREDIENTS
6 large bell peppers
1-1/2 lbs lean ground meat
1 medium onion chopped
3/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 cups pre-cooked rice
28oz can whole tomatoes
6 slices american cheese

DIRECTIONS
Cut off tops of peppers, and remove seeds and membrane. Parboil for 8-10 minutes, until the peppers are still bright green -remove from water. Sauté meat and remaining ingredients. Mix meat mixture and rice, and stuff peppers. Any leftover stuffing sits in the bottom of the pan around the peppers. Break up tomatoes and put on top of stuffed peppers. Pour a small amount of liquid on top of each pepper. Bake uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes. Add one slice of cheese on top of each pepper and bake for 10-15 minutes longer.
